specializes in body painting & special effects beauty. This is Color Mundo's 2nd year and Montreal's 1st Face/Body Painting Competition. There were representations there from all of the industry's product providers (MAC, Mehron, Krylon), workshops, and more.

I participated in the Brush & Sponge section of the body painting competition. The theme for this year's event was Ecology & Destruction; a theme which is close to my heart and I feel is very prevelent in the world at this time. The competition requirements were for 80% of the skin to be painted and to pay attention to every detail, down to even making sure the space between the toes is painted as well. I choose to use the symbols of the dragon and the phoenix with the tree of life, pollution symbols, and a drain with sludge coming out of the roots of the tree of life. The dragon in this situation represented destruction of the environment, the phoenix represented nature's way of returning and recovering for it is the phoenix which rises from it's own ashes, young, healthy and strong.
